
“I want solutions, not problems,” my boss told me. As if I was being difficult.
“Solutions, solutions, solutions,” my wife told me. “All you offer is solutions, when what I want is empathy.” As if I was being unkind.
“You need to start listening to yourself,” my therapist told me when my marriage and my job both came to an inevitable end.
But I wasn’t sure I had very much to say.
